On July 16, SIPO releases an announcement to authorize 19 patent agencies the qualification of handling foreign-related business, including Beijing GLM IP Agency Ltd. Up to date, the number of China’s foreign-related patent agencies reaches 188.

 

The announcement points out that the 19 patent agencies are authorized to handle entrustments from Chinese units and individuals of applying patents in foreign countries, and entrustments from foreign individuals, enterprises and organizations of patent applications and patent-related affairs handling in China. Meanwhile, the above-mentioned patent agencies can also handle entrustments from artificial persons of Taiwan of patent application and patent-related affairs handling.
