Guangdong attempts to live through the financial crisis with a province-wide innovation roadmap, guiding its companies and top universities to develop technologies essential for the province's industrial development and upgrade.

 

The province tries to find the common research targets of different organizations and help them build their own patent pool to ensure the joint research results could be translated into profits.  Guangdong has tried this method in four industrial sectors and one state key lab. In the patent pool for digital family, 32 companies with the alliance own 309 invention patents.
